I grew up in the suburbs of Boston. Graduated Watertown High School 1984, top third of my class. Attended University of Lowell (Mass.), as an undeclared music major, until 1987. I served as Director of the Movie Division for two years. I got my first taste of radio here at the university radio station, WJUL, as a DJ. After leaving Lowell, I attended Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Wellesley Hills, MA. Although I never had a paid broadcasting job, I did enjoy many years of volunteer work as camera operator and director/switcher for the Watertown Channel (MediaOne), as well as live hand-held camera for a Springfield Indians AHL hockey broadcast, and also a number of Harvard University football and hockey games. In 1997 I received two local cable awards for sports production and direction. I preferred to be behind the scenes for the most part, as I had not yet delved into acting at any level.
I have been a musician for most of my life, having played in many types of bands including marching bands, big-band orchestra, Chicago blues, and most recently heavy metal. I am a bassist, but I have also been a trombonist, lead vocalist, and backup vocalist. In 2004 I traded my dreams of being rock star for dreams of becoming significant in the local independent film scene. I've been steadily busy in this venture, having been in numerous shorts as well as two feature films. I've also worked as crew member for the features, and I have pulled a dual role of actor and script supervisor for my most recent film, "The Joneses."
Upon waiting for that "Big Break" with any of the bands I was in, I worked for a cleaning supply distribution company as a truck driver. I still hold a commercial truck license (Class B). I have always loved to drive, and would welcome an opportunity to become a professional driver, such as on automobile/motorcycle commercials and the like.
I am currently employed as a systems administrator.
